Last Tuesday 4-19 the MCC pulled out a tough griddy conference win against RRC/WWG 6-5. Rebel senior Peyton Coulter was in charge of holding a tough team in check. RRC/WWG got on the board first, scoring in the first inning with a groundout that scored one run.

BOYS WIN BALLGAME AGAINST MLA/C

On Thursday 4-21, the Rebels traveled to Mountain Lake for another Red Rock Conference battle with the Wolverines. It was one of the nicer days of spring so far for the baseball team, and that helped wake up the bats for the Rebels.

REBELS FALL TO TMB ON THE ROAD

Heading into a big section game on another not so wonderful day for baseball, Friday April 22nd. Temps in the mid 30’s and windy, the Rebels headed to Tracy to take on the TMB Panthers. The game started out with a lot of potential for the Rebels, top of the 1st had runners on 1st and 3rd and the Rebels failed to get the run in. After that everything went the Panthers way.

MCC GOLFERS HOLD FIRST HOME MEET OF SEASON

MCC held its first home varsity golf meet this past Thursday against Adrian/Ellsworth. It was a perfect evening, with sunny skies and mild winds. The Rebels were excited to get out and golf their home course. The greens were slow, which made putting difficult for all the players. However, a majority of MCC’s golfers stated it was their tee shots and mental game that needed improvement after the meet.

MCC TAKES ON MLA AND HLO/F-WWG

The Rebels traveled to Mountain Lake on Friday to play in a triangular against MLA and HLO/F-WWG. Although it was a windy, cold day the course was in pristine condition for this time of year. This was a great opportunity for MCC to see the competition they will be facing once conference play begins.

MCC PLAYS IN JACKSON TRIANGULAR

It was another beautiful day on the course for MCC golf as they competed in a triangular in Jackson. The Rebels brought a full squad for both boys and girls to compete against Jackson and Windom. There was some stiff competition, but a few Rebel golfers were able to rise to the top of the leaderboard.

REBELS WIN ON THE ROAD

The MCC Rebels had won two straight games heading into their non-conference matchup with the Lakeview Lakers on Tuesday afternoon. The Rebels traveled to Cottonwood to take on the Lakers. The Rebels would extend their winning streak scoring runs and playing some strong defense in a dominating performance.

SOFTBALL TEAM WINS AT HOME AGAINST MLA/C

The MCC Rebel Softball team played host to Mountain Lake Area Comfrey on Thursday afternoon. The Rebels were coming off a win over Red Rock Central Westbrook Walnut Grove and were playing a team that beat the Falcons the week before by a similar score. Both teams have shown the ability to hit the ball and score some runs so a close game was expected and that is exactly what happened.
