Rebel Roundup

By Jacob Scandrett - HS Principal As the snow and wind swirl outside, it’s hard to believe that spring is right around the corner. It’s that time of year when we begin full preparation for next fall. In schools all around Minnesota, districts are preparing students for course registration with class meetings, a review of course requirements, and discussions about credits for graduation. Students at MCC will start the registration process during the week of January 30th.

GIRLS LOSE TO HBC

The MCC Rebel Girls were on the road Friday night in Hills taking on the Hills Beaver Creek Patriots. MCC was coming off a tough loss to Adrian Ellsworth on Tuesday night and was hoping to avenge a close loss to the Patriots earlier this season. Murray County Central has struggled this season to score points, but they have struggled the most with teams that pressure the basketball. HBC loves to push the tempo and trap the basketball and for the Rebels that would mean a long night.

WWG OUTPLAYS REBEL GIRLS

The MCC Rebel Girls were on the road Monday in Westbrook. The Rebels were blown out by the Chargers just ten days earlier in Slayton, when the Rebels scored just 13 points in the entire game. Monday night would be a different first half for the Rebels but unfortunately, the second half was very similar to the first matchup.
