BOYS CELEBRATE WIN AT HOME AGAINST PANTHERS

The Murray County Central Rebels were back at home on Friday night where they hosted the TMB Panthers. The Panthers and the Rebels started their seasons in the same place at the same, time playing in Sleepy Eye against the Indians and the Sleepy Eye St Mary’s Knights. The Panthers struggled early in the year but have played better as of late and MCC was looking to pick up their 8th straight win.

REBELS BEAT WOLVERINES FOR 2ND TIME THIS SEASON

The MCC Rebels were back in action this past Thursday when they played the Mountain Lake Area Comfrey Wolverines. The Rebels beat the Wolverines earlier this season in Mountain Lake, where the Rebels had not had success in years. The Rebels have been playing really well, with 6 straight wins entering the game on Thursday. They were looking to keep their dreams of a conference championship alive. They would get a little closer on Thursday.

REBEL BOYS BATTLE THE FALCONS

The MCC Rebel Boys were in Lamberton to take on the Falcons of Red Rock Central on Tuesday night. The Rebels were still sitting in first place in the Red Rock Conference heading into the game, but the Rebels finish the season with two big games which means, if they want to win the conference, they need to win 3 games before the test of the final two games to even have a chance. The Rebels would be tested and then some Tuesday night.

MCMC CONTINUES POSITIVE EFFORTS TO PROVIDE SERVICES The Murray County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. The meeting had been delayed by one week due to a lack of quorum the previous Tuesday.

VOLUNTEERS/DONATIONS NEEDED FOR REALITY CHECK

It’s time for year two of Reality Check, a program run by community volunteers to teach high school seniors about living on a budget while dealing with life’s unexpected surprises. High school seniors from MCC and Fulda high schools will attend an interactive program March 29 that assigns them an income, then sends them out to choose insurance, transportation, medical, finance options and more.
