REBELS SHUT OUT COYOTES WITH KLUIS ON THE HILL

MCC BASEBALL WINS AGAIN

Dylan Kluis was brilliant on the hill on Thursday, as Kluis threw a no-hitter to lead MCC past HLO/F 12-0 MCC secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. The Rebels’ big bats were led by Tanner Graphenteen, Carter Benda, Abe Paulzine, Jaeden Deacon, Krew Schneider, and Aidan Dierks all driving runs in the frame.

The Rebels primed the offense in the first inning as Carter Benda doubled, stole third, and Christian Tentinger doubled to bring in Benda.

Dylan Kluis took the win going five innings, surrendering zero hits, zero runs, and striking out 10 batters. Simon Spittle would take the loss for HLO/F.

Aidan Dierks, Carter Benda, Tanner Graphenteen, Christian Tentinger, Jaeden Deacon, and Mason Wendland all delivered from the plate with hits in the game.

No Rebels struckout in this game and they committed zero errors for a well played 5 inning ball game. The Rebels are now 6-1 and will play RRC/WWG for the second time on Monday.

MCC defeated RRC/WWG Monday night by a score of 16-2. With no outs in the top of the fourth Dylan Kluis would homer on the first pitch of the at bat to score two runs. A 13 run fourth inning would be huge and Dylan Kluis, Derek Kluis, Abe Paulzine, Connor De-Greeff, Krew Schneider would all contribute in the big inning with RBIs.

MCC opened the scoring in the first inning. Jaeden Deacon hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring Carter Benda. Connor DeGreeff knocked in Christian Tentinger in the inning for his first RBI of the game on a sharply hit single to left.

In the bottom of the third inning RRC/WWG scored two runs, one on a passed ball and another on a sacrifice fly to center field. That would be all for the home team on the scoreboard, as MCC would be the away team in Slayton on this night.

Abe Paulzine earned the win on the hill, as he allowed only 3 hits and two runs over five innings of work. He struck out four and only walked one.

The Rebels racked up 10 hits, as Connor DeGreeff and Abe Paulzine each had multi hit games. Carter Benda would be as good as a lead off hitter can be, drawing three walks in the contest.

MCC will be in action again Tuesday, May 9th in a big conference clash against Edgerton/ SWC in Slayton.
