I’m sure all of you have heard the expression “It takes a village to raise a child” but what does this really mean? It truly does take all of us to ensure the success of our children here at Murray County Central.

WARRIOR YOUTH 7/8TH GRADE TEAM

QUALIFIED FOR STATE The Fulda/MCC Warriors wrestling team isn’t done quite yet even though the high school season is over and the state tournament medals have been distributed. The Varsity Wrestling team was awarded the MWCA (Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association) All-State Academic Team - Gold Plaque given to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.5+ thanks to all their hard work on and off the mat.

REKER CONSTRUCTION VISITED MCC WITH HEAVY EQUIPMENT SIMULATORS

On March 14, Reker Construction of Adrian, MN provided two heavy equipment simulators to the students of MCC. The event was open to all students and the goal was to introduce them to the construction industry. Each student had the opportunity to operate a bulldozer, as well as an excavator. At most times, the kids were so interested there was no room for another student in the trailer. They plan to make this an annual event and would like to visit more schools/programs. BOYS FINISH REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN

The B and A teams finished up their respective regular seasons Monday night. The B-squad looking to finish with a win and a record of 18-5. Varsity looking to go into the playoffs with confidence and another conference win as their seed is set at 4th, playing WWG and will have earned the 3rd best conference record regardless of this games outcome.

REBELS FALL TO WWG IN QUARTERFINALS

The #4 seed MCC Rebels took on the #5 seed WWG Chargers in the rubber match of the regular season in Worthington, Saturday. WWG won in OT at Westbrook and MCC won at home in the second match-up in a low scoring affair. There wasn’t much doubt that this game would be similar and in most all tightly contested games, the team that makes the least amount of mistakes will win.
