Microclimate is a spot in the garden that differs from the general environment. An example is a wet spot that collects rain, a spot sheltered from the wind, or a structure.
Cut rose flowers early in the morning. Make the cut on a slight angle above an outward-facing five-leaflet leaf. Remove the lower leaves on the stem. Recut the bottom of the stem at an angle before placing in a vase.
