USDA ANNOUNCES SIGNUP FOR PANDEMIC ASSISTANCE REVENUE PROGRAM

The Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program (PARP) will assist eligible producers of agricultural commodities who experienced revenue decreases in calendar year 2020 compared to 2018 or 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. PARP will help address gaps in previous pandemic assistance, which was targeted at price loss or lack of market access, rather than overall revenue losses.

COMMISSIONERS ACCEPT VONBOKERN LAND EASEMENT

By Joanne Bergman Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, February 28. All five commissioners were present. Chad Benda became the Assessor of Murray County with his oath given early in the meeting. He was hired due to the resignation on December 31 of Marcy Barritt.

MURRAY COUNTY 4-H HOST MULTI-GENERATIONAL COMMUNITY NIGHT

Murray County 4-H was awarded a Monogram Foods Loves Kids Foundation Grant to host multi-generational community events. The fourth of five Community Night events was hosted this last Friday night at the Murray County 4-H Building. Murray County 4-H partnered with the Fulda & Slayton Public Libraries to host Valentine’s Date Night. There were several crafts for families to participate in and a spaghetti and meatball supper was served.
