UNITED WAY OF SW MINNESOTA ANNOUNCES KINDNESS INVESTMENT PROGRAM GRANT

The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) announces the Kindness Investment Program (KIP) grant intended to offer small, onetime funding to support a small-scale communitylevel project, program, or initiative that aligns with the UWSWMN Community Impact Priorities within our service area.

REBELS FALL TO SWC

The MCC Rebel girls have a tough end of the season with three games left, playing teams above 500 on the season. The Rebels, on Friday, played the toughest team left on their schedule in Southwest Minnesota Christian. The Rebels were blown out by the Eagles earlier this season and Friday wasn’t much different. The Eagles are bigger, faster, and just better at this point and they proved it again. The Rebels need to show some improved play to gain some confidence heading into the playoffs.

KNIGHTS CELEBRATE WIN OVER REBEL GIRLS

The MCC Rebel Girls were in Tyler on Monday night, taking on the Knights in the Rebel’s only game of the week. In fact, the Rebels have just two games left; the first with the Knights and the second, next Monday against the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen. The Knights have had an up-and-down season but are above 500 this year and are looking to improve on their post-season positioning. The Rebels want to get some positive play heading into the playoffs, which will start next week.

FULDA/MCC WRESTLING

The Fulda/MCC Warriors travelled to Granite Falls, MN for a triangular against Pipestone Area(Loss 40-23), Quad County(Loss 50-24), and Minneota(Loss 49-21) last Tuesday, February 7th starting at 5. Then on Friday night the Warriors hosted a quad in Fulda against Luverne(win 5923), St. James(40-34), and Ortonville( after these duals gained the sixth seed going into the section tournament and will take on the Pipestone Arrows in Pipestone on Thursday February 16 at 7pm for a chance to enter the Final Four of the section held in Lamberton Saturday.
