By John Stenen My wife was in the hospital giving birth to our second daughter. A doctor walked into her room as she was reading her Bible. “That’s a pretty dirty book isn’t it,” he said. “Isn’t it filled with murder, rape, deceit, immorality, etc?” Now keep in mind that the Bible is called the Holy Bible. The reason for this is because it is God’s word to man, and Jesus said in John 14:6 that He (God) is TRUTH. The Bible reveals God’s relationship to man, and man’s relationship to God, and man’s relationship to man. God created everything perfect, there was no murder, no war, no sin, etc. Everything was perfect - until Satan got Adam and Eve to believe a lie. When they rebelled against God, and believed the lies from the devil, we got this fallen world that we now live in. Our colleges and universities are to be institutions that search for TRUTH; but look at what many of them have become. Jesus Christ is TRUTH, and for the most part He is rejected - and worldly philosophy is embraced, which is often very devilish. Men are always searching for something that will give them pleasure; such as money and fame, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. But true happiness, love, joy, and peace can only be found in Jesus Christ. There is pleasure in sin, the Bible says, but only for a season; for the wages of sin is death. Won’t you come to Christ today and find the TRUTH, and real meaning in life. God bless.
