SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL SCHEDULES SPECIAL MEETING REGARDING PARK SHELTER DESIGN

Slayton City Council discussed the new park shelter during their monthly meeting on Monday evening. Discussion included making a few changes to the proposed design. Final completion date of this building would be July 31, 2027. A special meeting of the council will be held on Thursday, October 8th, 2026,5:30 p.m. to make final decisions regarding the construction of the shelter.

MURRAY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEAR WOODSTOCK COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE

The Murray County Commissioners heard an update from Terry Nelson of Woodstock Communications during their first meeting of the month on Tuesday. Woodstock projects are in various stages of the process, but what they have named the Skandia Project, partially funded by a Border-to-Border grant, is struggling with archeological issues, Nelson said.
