MCC ENDS THE SEASON AGAINST SPRINGFIELD

The MCC Rebels took down the TMB Panthers and then the Adrian Ellsworth Dragons. Friday the Rebels did battle with the Springfield Tigers in hopes of beating the Tigers in a Section title game and advancing to the State Tournament. The Rebels lost to the Tigers earlier this year when they gave up a pair of scores in the final 13 seconds to lose 28 to 18. Friday the Rebels would play a tough team and when you play a tough team, each little mistake gets magnified and every missed opportunity becomes a mistake.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Many wonderful people are living with a great amount of fear today. “Will our nation yet have freedom and liberty, that so many gave their lives to preserve, -or will we have the global New World Order with totalitarianism? Will we have World War 111? Will there be food shortages that I keep hearing about? How bad will the riots be if the ‘wrong’ person is elected? On and on it goes; and so many are fearful as they think of these things. The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and said in 2 Tim. 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” Over three hundred times in Scripture we are told to fear not! If you are a Christian, you are commanded to live by faith. That means to trust God completely every day in every area of your life. Faith and fear cannot co-exist together; one will nullify the other. Read Philippians 4: 4-9, here Paul tells us how to pray and what we ought to be thinking about. There are things we should be concerned with of course, but to live in fear is sin. Living in fear, is doubting God’s ability to take care of you, even when times are rough. We need to discipline ourselves to pray earnestly, and learn what it is to “cast our care on the Lord, for He cares for us.” 1 Peter 5:7. I would encourage you to read Matthew 6: 25-34, and see what Jesus says to us. Also, read Psalm 23: again, and let the Word of God remind you of what a Great and Wonderful Shepherd we have to guide us through life. Get to know Jesus as your Lord, Saviour, Healer, Provider and Deliverer. God bless.
