MDI WILL HOST A FARM FINANCIAL WORKSHOP SERIES IN PIPESTONE

The Minnesota Dairy Initiative (MDI) will be hosting a farm financial workshop series that will be available to dairy farmers across the state of Minnesota. The dates and locations of the workshop series are December 11, 2024 and January 15, January 29 and February 19, 2025 at the Pipestone County Government Center Southwest in Pipestone, MN (1016 8th Ave SW, Pipestone, MN 56164). The purpose of the workshop series is to connect dairy producers with a certified bookkeeping consultant that specializes in farm finances. The series will focus on the basics of good bookkeeping, Quickbooks, assembling cash flows and balance sheets, how to enter in milk checks and other common transactions, what lenders are looking for and year-end tax preparations. The series will be interactive and questions and topics producers want covered will be discussed. Mary T. Faber, of Mary Faber Solutions, will be presenting the information and answering questions. The workshop series is free for dairy producers to attend. An option to join via Zoom is also available. RTR 62 MCC 55 The MCC Rebel Girls Basketball team played their first home game of the season on Tuesday night. The Rebels played host to the Russell Tyler Ruthton Knights in the team’s second Red Rock Conference game of the season.

MCC 57 RRC 15 The MCC Rebels Girls Basketball Team played their third game of the season on Tuesday night and their first Red Rock Conference game. The Rebels played in Lamberton at Red Rock Central’s new gymnasium and the girls put together a dominating performance.

VS SLEEPY EYE ST. MARY Basketball is back, as the boys team went to Sleepy Eye for the early season Tip Off Classic.

The Rebels traveled to Canby on Monday for their 3rd game in four days to take on the Lancers in a non-conference matchup. Last year’s contest was a nail biter as the Rebels won by a single point 61-60 in Slayton. This year’s contest would have many different faces on the floor for both teams, but with a different result.
