SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL MET
Slayton City Council met on Monday, April 18th. All council members were present. The meeting opened with the approval of the agenda as well as the minutes from the April 4th meeting and claims for the month. Josh Malchow, City Administrator, pointed out that the Al Gertsema family donated a nice bench for Gullord Park in his memory.
SWENSON PARK EXPANSION READY TO GO
The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on April 19. All members of the board were physically present for the meeting.
4-H PROJECT BOWL IN MINNESOTA
Project Bowl is a long-standing program in Minnesota 4-H and is the second most attended event of the year. In Project Bowl, teams of 3-6 youth build skills working and thinking together while testing their knowledge in these 4-H areas: dairy, dog, general livestock, horse, llama/alpaca, poultry, and rabbit.

The Chippewa/Murray senior horse quiz bowl team placed first at the State Horse Bowl contest on April 9 in Sauk Rapids. Starting from the right team members include Kylee Brands (Murray County) , Caleb Johnson and Kaisa Jaenisch (Chippewa County).
