NOBLES-MURRAY RURAL ELECTRIC OPERATION ROUND UP SUPPORTS IMAGINATION LIBRARY

The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) is a recipient of a $1,220 grant from Nobles-Murray Rural Electric Trust Fund’s Operation Round Up. This program is supported by the member-owners of Nobles-Murray Rural Electric as a way to strengthen local communities and programs in the cooperative’s service territory.

NOBLES COOPERATIVE ELECTRIC AND COBANK AWARD “SHARING SUCCESS” GRANT TO THE SLAYTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

Nobles Cooperative Electric (NCE) is pleased to announce the Slayton Fire Department in Slayton as the recipient of this year’s NCE/CoBank “Sharing Success” Grant. The Slayton Fire Department has been awarded two checks totaling $10,000 – $5,000 from NCE and $5,000 from CoBank – to help in the investment for purchasing thermal imaging cameras.

BUTTERMAKERS STAY UNBEATEN

VAN IPEREN GRADUATES FROM NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE

Hannah Van Iperen of Slayton was among 221 graduates to receive bachelor’s degrees at Northwestern College during commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 14. Twentyseven students received Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, while the rest of the graduating seniors were granted Bachelor of Arts degrees.

The Christie Gergen Studio

The Christie Gergen Studio had their SPRING recital on May 22nd! The National Federation of Music Clubs Certificates from the February Festival were handed out along with participation certificates! Lila Scandrett, a student of Anna Jeanne Flesner, was also in attendance. A variety of music was performed. Gospel, Contemporary, Baroque, Jazz, and Folk. Every student performed two pieces. Congratulations students on a GREAT recital.
