Coming off a rewarding victory over the Falcons, MCC was slapped back to reality at the hands of the Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda Coyotes.

Sophie King finished the set at the service line ending the game for MCC, 9-25.

The second set was more of the same from the Coyotes. MCC was forced to use their first time out at a 1-6 score. Barstad put the ball into play and the visitors took advantage of Rebel confusion before a hitting error by Schuur saw MCC taking their first time out after falling behind, 23-24.

Fueled by the excitement of the fans, a perfect serve-receive by Barstad set up a kill by Rosenbrook with Miller for the assist. A serve by Miller was played out by the Coyotes and a dig by Iverson led to another assist and kill from the Miller/ Rosenbrook duo. Time out number two for Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda, MCC held a 25-24 lead. A blocking error on Slettum allows the Coyotes to tie the set at 25, but Rosenbrook stayed on her game serving up another kill upon the visitors to move ahead, 26-25. An attack by HLO-F moved them back to the lead before MCC ran out of steam, falling to the Coyotes, 26-28.
