There is another fun event hosted by the Catholic parishes of St Ann, St Columba and St Mary coming up this month; this time in Iona. You can play BINGO for prizes. And, there are prizes galore for all ages, so bring the family! This event, held every other month in Slayton, Lake Wilson or Iona is open to absolutely EVERYONE! Bring the neighborhood. No worries, no debates, nothing but good fun and maybe meeting new people. The Iona event will take place on Sunday, November 20, with Bingo scheduled from 2 pm until 3:30 pm, at 3:30 the food comes out, pulled pork sandwiches, chips, nachos and water will be served. There isn’t a cost, but if you wish to leave a donation, totally up to you, you may do so for the next event to be held in February in Slayton.

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. The first item on the agenda was the appointment of Jay Takle as a member of the Cottonwood-Middle MN Advisory board. Commissioner Lori Gunnink serves as the County representative on that board.

Slayton City Council met on Monday, November 7th. The agenda, meeting minutes from October 17th, and claims were all reviewed and approved. The election canvas meeting was set for November 10th at 7:15am. This meeting must happen within 3-10 days after the election to certify the results.

Recently Kim Hause, the Murray County 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator, applied for and received a grant from Monogram Foods, Monogram Loves Kids Foundation. The funds will help promote 4-H close to home without having to go to Marhsall or Worthington for something fun to do.
