COVID FUNDS CONTINUE TO BENEFIT MURRAY COUNTY

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. The Murray County Parks account was benefited with a monetary donation from a recent camper. The $20 was presented in appreciation of the care given to the park.

Patient Care Employee Excellence Award (Recipient: Harlie Swanson, Radiologic Technologist)

Award to acknowledge a non-supervisory, nonexempt, direct patient care employee outside of the nursing department who has been outstanding in the performance of his or her job duties as it relates to the direct care of our patients. This person regularly exceeds job expectations, prioritizes patient care and safety, is compassionate and caring, promotes positivity in the workplace, is reliable and hard-working, has excellent communication skills, and respects others. This individual incorporates our mission and values into their work every day, finds ways to continuously improve and achieve goals and is looked to as a leader in his or her area of work. Employees in the direct patient care departments (lab, radiology, respiratory therapy, physical/ occupational therapy, ambulance, pharmacy, non-nursing surgery and patient care staff are eligible for this award).

Support Services Employee Excellence Award (Recipient: Riley Engbarth, Staff Accountant)

Award to acknowledge a non-direct patient care, non-supervisory employee who goes above and beyond in his or her job duties. This person demonstrates outstanding performance and consistently exceeds goals and job expectations every day, effectively establishes and organizes priorities, problem solves with minimal assistance, demonstrates job readiness, promotes positivity in the workplace, motivates and works well with others, and is reliable, loyal, and hard-working. This individual incorporates our mission and values into their work every day, sets an example for coworkers, is looked up to by others, and is dedicated and committed to our organization. This individual must work in a department that does not regularly provide direct patient care (finance, housekeeping, business office/ PSR, administration, IT, dietary, maintenance, materials management, marketing, etc.).

TROJAN RELAYS MEET

The Rebels had one final meet before they would host the Red Rock Conference Championships. They traveled to Worthington to participate in the 69th running of the Trojan Relays. Fifteen teams partook in the meet with 7 of them assigned to the AA division and 8 to the A. MCC would be in the class A division which was made up of all conference schools with the exception of Mountain Lake Area.

TRACK AT WINDOM INVITE

The Rebel Track teams traveled to Windom, competing in a seven team meet. The ideal weather conditions allowed for great performances with many of the athletes achieving personal best performances.
