GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark Ready or not this is the week-end of Christmas this year. Whatever plans you have will have to do although over the years we’ve had last minute items we can sure remember (good and bad). With rarest exception one important thing was the Christmas dinner and guests. Then any presents to share and conversation too. By then it was time for an second food service usually with a second piece of pie or whatever. Then it was time to head for home. As hinted above sometimes there was last minute events to change our plans and sometimes it was how we got together and who we were with.

THEOLOGY IN THE TRENCHES

Flight into Egypt through the Eyes of a Weary Traveler (Remnants of a trip to Assisi) Story was inspired by Shellee Leif. “Would you—from a message of an angel, leave your family and all you know and go where I ask you to go?” It’s a fair question we all must come to terms with at some point in our faith journey.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Here we are, celebrating Christmas once again. How shall we do it? Typically we have time off from work; we usually eat pretty good, and we spend lots of money that could have been better spent for necessary items, but, it’s all good, right? Some will drink too much as they gather with family and friends; and of course we have to go see Santa and let the kids have their picture taken with him or her??? Is that politically correct today? My question is, ‘Where is Jesus in all of this?’
