MURRAY COUNTY CENTRAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES The Board of Education of Independent School District #2169, Murray County Central Schools, met for their regular meeting in the high school library November 13, 2023. This is a summary of those proceedings, which are not to be confused with the official minutes of the MCC School Board meetings, which are maintained by the Superintendent’s Office.

SDSU ADVANCES IN NASA CONTEST AS ONE OF SIX FINALISTS NATIVE MAVERICK BECKMANN MEMBER OF TEAM

NASA has narrowed the field to six in its lunar soil excavating contest, and a team of students from South Dakota State University is among the group left in the hunt for a $1 million top prize. Conceived in 2020, the Break the Ice Lunar Challenge tasked innovators with creating robotic systems that can navigate the rugged terrain of the Lunar South Pole, dig up its icy soil and transport it to another location, where, in theory, water could be extracted from the soil.

MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, MANKATO TO AWARD 1,772 DEGREES AT END OF FALL SEMESTER

Minnesota State University, Mankato awarded 1,772 degrees to 1,617 students at the end of the fall 2023 semester, Elise Rohrer, BS, Family Consumer Science, Slayton, MN Advanced degrees awarded by Minnesota State Mankato at the conclusion of the fall semester included four doctor of education degrees, six doctor of nursing practice degrees and one doctor of school psychology degrees.

Many today, including Christians, will mock those who believe in the laying on of hands according to Scripture and prayer for physical healing. Some say, “Well, if healing is for today, why don’t you go into the hospitals and heal everyone.” That would be wonderful, but even Jesus couldn’t do it when He walked the earth. “What?!

By Arnold Krusemark Christmas is barely two weeks away. It is time to finish whatever plans you have for the event. We’ve already talked about gifts. Lately most of our gifts are direct shipped rather than delivered somehow. And then there’s the Christmas meals. In our case that included a Christmas eve dinner which almost always included oyster stew. Then there’s Christmas Day dinner (and possibly supper) on Christmas Day. And then additional guests to help with the leftovers.
