Here is the week’s recap: Wednesday at Milroy HADLEY 11 MILROY 5 Hadley traveled northeast to take on the Milroy Yankees of the Corn Belt League in an exhibition game. It has been quite a few years since the Buttermakers and Yankees have faced each other. Milroy, like Hadley have a rich baseball history on their sides and have been frequent State Tournament participants, but Milroy has had better success in tournament play.

Saturday, June 22nd, the American Legion along with the Murray County Pork Producers, Murray County Dairy Association and Minnesota Youth Swine Series (premier) held a fundraiser event for the Slayton American Legion. Burgers and Malts were served along with a little piggy entertainment. Even a little rain didn’t deter folks from coming out, enjoying the day and supporting the legion.

Murray County 4-H hosted a cake pops summer day camp to help youth fulfill their creativeness through food! This day camp was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 at the Murray County 4-H Building, 3048 Broadway Ave, Slayton, MN.

Murray County 4-H hosted their fourth summer program day camp where they created three county fair ready arts & crafts projects! This summer day camp was held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 25 at the Murray County 4-H Building, 3048 Broadway Ave, Slayton, MN. Youth received customized letters that they were able to glue colorful yarn around to use as a décor piece.

The Murray County Horse Project hosted a 4-H Horse Pleasure Clinic open to the Murray County youth and surrounding counties. The clinic was held all day June 27 and 28 at the Murray County Fairgrounds, 3048 Broadway Ave, Slayton, MN.
