REBEL GIRLS GOLFERS ENDS THE SEASON AT STATE TOURNAMENT

MCC’s girls represented very well at the Class A State Tournament. The Rebel lineup included Lauren Larson (Senior), Ava Johnson (Junior), Rachael Huso (Sophomore), Lizzie Daniels (Sophomore), and Natalie Einck (8th Grade). The girls played a practice round Monday morning to prepare for the challenging rounds ahead. The state tournament was set up with boys teeing off in the morning and girls in the afternoon. The boys experienced stormy conditions that interrupted their rounds in the morning both Tuesday and Wednesday, causing delays in the afternoon for the girls. On day two, a few groups of girls had to end their round early due to severe weather. Since those few groups were unable to finish, all girls had their hole 9 and hole 18 scores removed from their day two total.

END OF YEAR RECAP MCC GOLFERS

The Rebels had a great start to the 2024 golf season. The weather was fairly mild all season with the exception of some windy days. However, MCC’s golfers had ideal weather to finish out the season during their final conference and section meets. The girl’s team had many returners with varsity experience. They would go on to win a few meets and individualist medals throughout the season. The Rebels earned the Red Rock Conference Runner-up title and Section 3A Champion title. Coach Kim DeLong was also named Section 3A Girls Coach of the Year. The girls team advanced to the Class A State Tournament where they played at Pebble Creek in Becker, Minnesota. MCC’s boys had a few new players as well as some returners. They played well throughout the season and made huge improvements. In their final two meets, the boys had two of their best team totals for the entire spring.

GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark Another week has passed and only one more week left in June. And what has gotten accomplished? Our garden has been planted sure. And is growing (along with some weeds). And it has sure been raining enough. So we have the lawn to take care of, along with the garden. And now the mosquitoes too.

THEOLOGY IN THE TRENCHES

The Old Man Held The old man had a hold on the young lad who lay in his arms. A vested interest he had as it was his grandson who’d entered this world a tad too early and undeveloped his little lungs were.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Jesus said the devil comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy that’s his entire program. Satan brings nothing but heartache, sorrow, destruction and death. Two of his greatest tools are lies and deception. Someone wisely said, “It is easier to deceive people than to convince them that they have been deceived.” Look around the world and see the multitudes who are greatly deceived. They are ‘useful idiots’ in the hands of the devil who does all he can to thwart the plan of God. God’s plan for you is eternal life with Him. - To be completely blessed as a member of His family. -To have a hope for a fantastic future, living in a glorified body with no more sickness, pain, or sorrow. God desires that everyone of us repent of our sinful lifestyles, and receive His Son Jesus Christ; only then can you have eternal life. Satan, on the other hand, deceives people into believing there is no God. Or, he convinces them that by being the best they can be, God will give them everlasting life; or, to believe: “Well, I have not killed anyone so I should make heaven.” Satan also convinces many that we are all the children of God and all will go to heaven. The truth is that we are born into this world as the sons of Adam; the only way we become a child of God is to receive Jesus Christ, and live our lives serving Him. Look at the world today calling for the destruction of Israel, claiming it is not their land. How deceived they are. God gave that land, and a whole lot more to the Israelites and it is theirs forever. Jesus is Jewish and He will reign from Jerusalem. God the Father and the new Jerusalem will descend to Israel and God (the Trinity) will forever be with His children who have trusted in His plan of salvation. Soon, Jesus will return, not as Saviour, seeking the lost - He will return as the Judge. I pray that you will not be standing before Him one day at the White Throne Judgment, for then you will have no hope. Turn to Him today.
