Slayton, MN — The Slayton Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of Light Up Gullord Park, a cherished holiday tradition now in its third year! Join us on Sunday, November 24th for an enchanting afternoon filled with holiday cheer, activities, and lights that will bring warmth and wonder to the entire community.
The festivities will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with a special appearance by Santa Claus, who will be arriving in style via horsedrawn carriage! Santa will be available to meet with children and hear their Christmas wishes. But watch out – The Grinch himself will also be making a surprise appearance, adding a playful twist to the holiday fun!
Throughout the afternoon, families can enjoy a variety of activities, including:
•A festive scavenger hunt
•Snowball toss, holiday bean bag toss, and mini golf
•Gingerbread house sticker page crafts
•S’mores by the fire
•Horse-drawn carriage rides around the park In addition, the Masonic Lodge will be on hand offering hot chocolate for purchase to keep everyone warm and cozy.
As the day winds down, gather together for the exciting Light Up Gullord Park countdown at 5:30 p.m. as the park transforms into a magical display of lights. This year, Gullord Park will be illuminated nightly from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. through January 1, creating a breathtaking holiday landscape for the community to enjoy all season long.
For everyone’s safety, entrances to Gullord Park will be closed to traffic on November 24th. We kindly ask attendees to park in the Hospice parking lot, Hub Drive-In parking lot, or nearby side streets.
