GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark Spring has arrived on the calendar. Spring weather will arrive in the next month. As a reminder the first day of spring is also equal amount f daylight and darkness. Then daylight will increase until Summer starts. The weather should be getting warmer too. Now s a good time to check out your gardening tools. First where are they, and which ones need repairs or replacing. Maybe soon also get the awn mower started too. A local newspaper ad mentioned a store with baby chickens. As we remember their hatchery could also supply baby geese and ducks too on special order. We used to have both sand in later winter the eggs would start coming. Our incubator got busy too. Then when the first gosling hatched mother would take it outside to show the geese. They had a very happy ceremony too. It also meant work as when we would put the baby geese out in our pen gandy would stand guard - all day until we brought in the little kids at night. Back inside the house be sure to care for your indoor garden and the house plants.

GOOD NEWS

The young missionary had not been in his new assignment, in a large village in Africa, very long, when one day, a group of eight boys had approached him, asking to be baptised in water. He was not sure if the boys had understood salvation, and had been truly born again; so he interviewed each of them to make sure. The last boy was quite young and he thought, “Surely as young as he is he must not understand what it is to surrender your life to Christ.”
