Court Queen of Peace met August 26 for a potluck supper at Gullard Park with 16 members present. Regent Deanna Konkol called the meeting to order followed by prayer, flag pledge and secretary’s report. Treasurer, Betty Palmer was not present. Financial secretary, Barb Minnehan, gave a reminder of the financial review in October and informed the Daughters of the new District Deputy from Marshall court.
Jan Bryan, legislative, had no report due to legislative recess. Jill McCord collected donations for the seminarians.
Summer workshop was held in Adrian with 5 members attending. Gummi Bears donations for Habitat for Humanity will take place during October for a house being built in Redwing.
Joy Boxes are available and can be filled and returned back to St. Ann’s by Nov. 10. Items needed and restricted items are included in the box.
Dudley House donations will be collected in November.

A small gift will be purchased for the Confirmation students who will be confirmed in Sept.
Information from National CDA indicated that gowns can be ‘disposed of with dignity’ meaning that they cannot be disposed of at recycling centers but can be made into display pieces for CDA events.
Lana Olivier displayed a plaque honoring the Currie court for their 100 years in existence. The plaque will be displayed in Immaculate Heart of Mary showcase in Currie. Unfortunately due to lack of members the court has disbanded and have joined Court Queen of Peace.
Barb Minnehan has volunteered to find members to prepare a light supper for the Sept. 16 meeting at Divine Mercy Hall at 5 PM.
