SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSES AMBULANCE AGREEMENT

The Slayton City Council met in regular session on March 17, 2025 with all members in attendance. No one was present for Public Forum. They began by approving the agenda with no additions, as well as, the minutes from the last meeting. They then went on to approve the claims and cash balances for the month. Everything is set for the Northwest Natural Gas Buy-out Community Meetings. The postcards informing the public of the first meeting on Thurs. March 27th at 6:30 have been sent. Joel Herrig will be there to live-stream it and have it available on Christensen Broadcasting.

MURRAY COUNTY 4-H AMBASSADORS GO TO SIOUX FALLS FOR ANNUAL TEAM-BUILDING DAY!

The Murray County 4-H Ambassador team went to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to participate in some team bonding and strategic thinking activities. On Sunday, March 9, over twenty Murray County 4-H Ambassadors traveled to Sioux Falls to enjoy a group lunch at Texas Roadhouse, thought their way out of some escape rooms at Escapades, burned off some energy at ThunderRoad and headed home after an eventful day.

AMERICAN LEGION NATIONAL COMMANDER TO VISIT SLAYTON

LaCoursiere will visit with members of the public and media during a stop at the 4-H Building at the Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton on March 28. Hosted by the Slayton American Legion Post 64, the National Commander’s presentation and lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m.
