Rebel Roundup

It is hard to believe that another school year has arrived. I hope everyone had a great summer and took some time to relax and recharge with family and friends. With two and a half weeks under our belt here at MCC, students are beginning to settle into the school routine. It feels good to be getting back in the swing of things and have the hallways and classrooms full once again.

REBELS FOOTBALL WINS AT HOME

The MCC Rebel Football team played their first home game of the season on Friday night. After starting the season with two road games the Rebels were at home for the first time. The Rebels opened the season with back to back losses to a pair of good teams. Sleepy Eye United was 1-1 entering the game with a win over BOLD and a loss to RTR. The Rebels clearly liked playing at home as they would put together their best all around showing of the season against Sleepy Eye United.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen I cannot tell you how many times I rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ as a young man. I used to think that the Church was made up of women, kids, and sissies. I didn’t know how this guy named Jesus Christ could die for the sins of the world. I didn’t even know for sure that there was a God with all my training in Evolution nonsense. In August of 1972, the Holy Spirit showed me that I was on the broad path that leads to eternal damnation; that means eternity in hell without God. That day I knelt down next to my bed and asked Jesus to come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins and make me a new creature in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17. He did, and I have come to love Him more than life itself. He is a friend to all sinners; He came to seek and to save sinners like me because He loves all of mankind, no matter how sinful we have been. He offers you and I, eternal life, a world without end, that will be full of love, joy, peace, and righteousness. All He asks is that you love Him, follow Him, and obey Him. He has your best interest at heart. It’s either that, or an eternity in hell. Please, choose Him today, before it’s too late. God bless.
