Murray County residents now have a new way to stream movies and TV shows—free and without ads—through their local public libraries. Fulda Memorial Library and Slayton Public Library now offer access to Kanopy, a streaming service featuring more than 30,000 films and television programs.

With a valid library card, patrons can watch popular movies, documentaries, independent and foreign films, classic cinema, educational videos, and binge-worthy TV series.

Each month, library cardholders receive a set number of digital tickets to use on Kanopy, with each title clearly displaying the number of tickets required and the length of viewing access.

Families will love Kanopy Kids, a curated, ad-free collection of children’s programming that includes favorites such as Sesame Street and other PBS Kids shows. Titles in Kanopy Kids do not count against a monthly ticket limit, making it easy for families to watch freely.

Getting started is simple. Using a web browser, users can visit FuldaLibrary.org or SlaytonLibrary. org, select Digital Resources, and look for the Kanopy logo. Kanopy is also available as an app for iOS and Android devices and on major streaming platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, and Samsung Smart TVs. Patrons can download the app, search for their library, and create a free account using their library card.

Kanopy provides an easy and affordable way for residents to enjoy high-quality entertainment and educational content through their public libraries.
