GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen There are tens if not hundreds of thousands of people in India who have it as their supreme desire in life to be filled with demons. When filled, they believe their life will be immune to attack or harm from the evil forces. Yes, they do believe in a good God as well as reincarnation and many other gods also; but since the other ‘gods’ do not harm them, they do not worship them. I read once that there is in the neighborhood of 300,000 gods worshiped in India.

FFA SOILS TEAM

You may be wondering what we do at Soils FFA, I’m here to tell you about it and how much fun it is! Let’s get started, we judge soils based on the color and texture and we put our answers down on a scorecard. The soil types can be based on where the soil is from, how far down it is dug and even how wet or dry it is. There are about 15 different options to choose from on what type of soil it is.

FFA FORESTY TEAM

The FFA forestry team consists of Evan Schreier, Logan Dahlhoff, Colton Olivier, William Biren. This team is all 7th graders this year. The team is smart, funny and an amazing team that is working hard. What we do in forestry is to understand trees by identification, their sickness/diseases, forestry tools and equipment, timber cruising, wood identification, and how to know how much wood volume you can get from a tree and many more areas. We placed 5th at Regions and qualified for the State FFA Convention in April. Our goal this year is to do our best at state. That goes to show anybody can do anything they put their mind to.
