REPORT BANKING CHANGES TO FSA

Farm Service Agency (FSA) program payments are issued electronically into your bank account. In order to receive timely payments, you need to notify your FSA servicing office if you close your account or if your bank information is changed for any reason (such as your financial institution merging or being purchased). Payments can be delayed if FSA is not notified of changes to account and bank routing numbers.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen In the gospel of Matthew, chapter 23:37-39, God gives us His goal for all of mankind as he speaks to those in Jerusalem. He said this shortly before going to the cross to suffer and die for all of our sins, “Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” For the past two thousand years the Jewish people have suffered much because of their rejection of Jesus, but will one day receive Christ as their Messiah. Zechariah 13:6-9. This will be at the end of the coming seven year tribulation.

STRATEGIC FARMING: FIELD NOTES TALKED DISEASE AND WEED MANAGEMENT IN A WET YEAR

After the rainiest April through June period recorded at many Minnesota weather stations, corn and soybean growers are facing increased weed and disease management challenges. Assessing both crop health and weed control practices is more important than ever. Dr. Alison Robertson, field pathologist at Iowa State University, tells growers to “get out of the truck and into the fields to see what diseases are present.” Armed with that information, growers can match varieties and hybrids with the disease resistance traits.
