MOTHER NATURE STRIKE AGAIN – BUTTERMAKERS GO 2-0

By: Mark Zinnel- Buttermaker Reporter Mother nature rained out the Buttermakers game on Saturday in Jackson, but Hadley would manage to get their other scheduled games played during the week. The Buttermaker bats heated up and the runs kept coming as Hadley went undefeated for the week in two blowout victories. Here is the week’s recap: Wednesday at Lakefield HADLEY 13 LAKEFIELD 0 – 7 INNINGS Hadley traveled east to take on First Nite League opponent, Lakefield Horned Frogs. The young Frog squad usually plays a tough, scrappy game against the veteran Buttermaker in Lakefield. Wednesday’s game had the Buttermakers easily managing the Frogs as they hopped their way to a 13-0 victory. Every Buttermaker player contributed to the win.

SLAYTON AREA COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT JUNE 27TH

The Slayton Community Band will be performing at Gullord Park on Thursday, June 27 at 7:00 PM. All concerts are FREE and open to people of all ages. Gabe Gleis will be singing the National Anthem. Gabe was the VFW Local and State winner in the VFW “Red, White, and Blue” National Anthem singing contest in 2023.
