You see these types of stories on the news and read them in the papers. What have they all got in common? SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES The Board of Education of Independent School District #2169, Murray County Central Schools, met for their regular meeting in the high school library July 15, 2024. This is a summary of those proceedings, which are not to be confused with the official minutes of the MCC School Board meetings, which are maintained by the Superintendent’s Office.

MURRAY COUNTY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Seven area individuals had the opportunity to gain insight and experience this summer thanks to the implementation of the Murray County Internship Program. Justine Wettschreck, who helped coordinate the effort and also serves as the Murray County Economic Development Authority (EDA) Coordinator, said the program itself is run through Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council but funded by the county.

2024 MN PLOWING CONTEST TO BE HELD IN MURRAY COUNTY

By Jenny Kirk The 2024 Minnesota Plowing Organization’s state contest is being held in Murray County on Aug. 23-24. Coordinator Ray Randall said the event is open to anyone and that it will take place at Jim York’s Farm by Lake Wilson.
