ARPA FUNDS TO COVER PUBLIC SAFETY NEEDS

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met on July 5, the first meeting of the month. Meetings are regularly scheduled for the first, third and fourth Tuesday each month. Commissioner Molly Malone currently serves as Chairperson. Dave Thiner, Dennis Welgraven, Jim Kluis and Lori Gunnink make up the remainder of the board.

MASKING REQUIREMENTS DROPPED AT MCMC

The Murray County Medical Center Board of Directors met on June 29th in the regular session. Financial reports showed a net income of $258,000 for the month of May with an year to date total of $393,000. Due to ongoing updates to the EPIC system other reports presented at these meetings were not available.

NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE DEAN’S LIST

ORANGE CITY, Iowa—Ashley Hellewell* and Hannah Van Iperen, students at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the spring 2022 semester. The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours.

MICHELLE ZENK OF HADLEY NAMED TO SPRING DEANS’ LIST AT NEBRASKA

Michelle Susan Zenk of Hadley has been named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2021-22 academic year. Zenk, a junior majoring in agricultural and environmental sciences communication, and environmental studies, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
