Reinventing, Redesigning and Reengineering Yourself

“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” - John 3:3 NIV The biblical phrase “to be born again” is another way of saying “to transform yourself,” or perhaps more accurately, “to be transformed,” because often these transformations come from outside of ourselves rather than being something we consciously do ourselves. In any case, we are called as Christians to be constantly transforming ourselves.

SLAYTON ELECTRIC UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

Mick Keleher is the new owner of Slayton Electric as of July 1. Keleher had originally planned to transition into ownership of the business about six months ago, but the process was delayed because he was involved in a horrific auto accident.

NAPS (SECOND HARVEST)

Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) in the Slayton area, sponsored by Second Harvest Heartland distribution will be held at the office of A.C.E. of Southwest Minnesota-Murray County at 2989 Maple Rd., Slayton MN. Distribution will take place on Thursday, July 13th, from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. Also near the Fulda Food Shelf at 305 S Lafayette Ave, Fulda, MN. Distribution will take place on Monday, July 17th, from 1:30 - 2:00 pm. Remember if you cannot be there, please have your proxy pick your items up for you. MICHELLE ZENK OF HADLEY NAMED TO SPRING DEANS’ LIST AT NEBRASKA

Michelle Susan Zenk of Hadley has been named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year. Zenk, a senior majoring in agricultural and environmental sciences communication, and environmental studies, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

AREA STUDENTS RECEIVE DEGREES FROM UW-RIVER FALLS

The following local residents were among 722 students receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls following commencement in May. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 645 undergraduates, while 77 students received graduate degrees.
