By John Stenen I asked a man from Syria one time, “Why did it take the Jewish people forty years to go from Egypt to the Promised Land that God was giving to them?” He said, “Because they got lost.”
Wrong answer! They spent forty years in the wilderness because they had an evil heart of unbelief, read Hebrews 3: Many today have an evil heart o f unbelief also. They refuse to come to God on His terms. He demands that we, by faith, surrender our lives to Christ and receive Him as Lord of our lives. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If we confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”
Romans 10:13 says, “Whosoever shall call unto the Lord shall be saved.” I could quote many other Scriptures as well such as John 3:16 that speaks of ‘believing’ in Christ to be saved. The key in the Scripture above is allowing Jesus Christ to be Lord of your life. That means you are committed to following Him all the days of your life.
Ephesians 2:8 says “For by grace you have been saved through faith…..not of works…..” Put your faith in who Jesus Christ is (Immanuel -God with us), and believe that He alone is the means of your salvation and nothing else. Jesus said to the religious people in John 5:40, “You would not come unto me that you might have life.”
Once you are saved, be baptized in water. Hope to see you in heaven one day. God bless.
