PROGRAMS HIGHLIGHT STARGAZING AND LAKE SHETEK HISTORY

Lake Shetek State Park will be hosting programs that highlight Lake Shetek history along with a stargazing presentation by WCCO’s Mike Lynch. On Friday, August 18 at 8:00 pm at the Oak Woods Campground Amphitheater, join us for a “Visitor from the Past”.

NEW ACTIVITY OFFERED AT THE MURRAY COUNTY FAIR

The Mobile Sign Shop is inspired by the vernacular of wooden/engraved/painted/ handmade signs found in National/State Parks and at cabins and homes in Greater Minnesota and beyond. The Mobile Sign Shop is housed in a custom trailer with all the necessary supplies provided.

Senator Amy Klobuchar was on a Three-Day Rural Tour of Southwest Minnesota and stopped at the farm of Bryan Biegler to meet with Bryan, his family, and staff from the Corn Growers Association for a walking tour and discussion on economic and agricultural priorities. They talked farm bill-importance of biofuels and crop insurance along with the tour.

Over the past few years there has been an amazing shift in the world of mental health. People are beginning to understand that the mental health issues that someone may struggle with does not define them, and that they need support from their family and peers.
