SLETTUM CELEBRATES 100TH CAREER SET IN LOSS AGAINST SWMN CHRISTIAN

The Murray County Central Rebels were back in volleyball action against the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles last Thursday evening. The anticipation of playing good conference competition was only overshadowed by a milestone set by setter Kate Slettum as she dished out her 1000th set assist of her high school volleyball career.

The MCC Rebels were on the road this past Friday night taking on the Saint James Saints in a game that, with a win, would get them above the .500 mark on the season. St James was looking for their second win of the year but they have played teams tough and have a tough running game.

There’s a chill in the air, the leaves are falling, and FOOTBALL IS IN FULL SWING! It has been an exciting season for the 5th and 6th Grade Tackle Football Program this Fall. A tough 35 players are suiting up in full pads and helmets for practice twice a week to work on their offense and defense and prepare for their next opponent. Over the past few weeks, MCC has hosted Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and Canby and has traveled to play Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, Wabasso and Dawson-Boyd. The teams will then travel to Minneota on October 7th and host Pipestone on October 14th.

The regular meeting of the Murray County Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, October 03, 2023 with a short agenda that was completed in thirty minutes. Acceptance of Third quarter donations was slated for this minutes.

4-H ADVENTURES - FULDA SKILLS TO SUCCEED

Skills to Succeed will allow 4-hers to learn about themselves, the community they live in and how to find their inner spark to strive regardless of the challenges ahead. Each session will include a healthy snack, games, and a project to dive into learning. As always, reflection at the end where the 4-hers will share with others. After school Adventures will meet in the lunchroom of Fulda elementary school from 3:00 - 5:00 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. (Except October when youth will be meeting during National 4-H Week.)
