Now that winter has finally arrived, it’s time to look ahead to an exciting event in March! The Slayton Area Farm & Home Show/Family Fair is coming up on Saturday, March 16 at the MCC gym. Sponsored by the Slayton Area Chamber of Commerce and Murray County Early Childhood Initiative, the event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Letters to register a booth at the event should be arriving in the mailboxes of area businesses, but if you don’t receive one and you’d like to register your business/non-profit/organization, you can find the form at www.slaytonareachamber. com/farm-home-show.
Exhibitors get a 8x8 space, at a cost of $25 for non-profits, $50 for profits. There is also a $10 fee if you need a table in your space. Set-up for your booth can be done at 7:30 p.m. Friday or beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, and we’ll have some students on hand to help you carry your items both in and out.
Anyone interested in a booth can contact Julie Dahlhoff at 507-220-1373. Checks for the booth can be written to Murray County ECI and mailed to PO Box 54, Slayton, MN 56172.

Also included at the Farm & Home Show/Family Fair will be free activities, games and books for kids, giveaways, products and information offered by local vendors, performances by local students and short seminars regarding online safety for children and mental health for children.
