FULDA FCCLA MEMBERS TO TAKE PROJECTS TO STATE COMPETITION

Myles Timmerman and Mauricio Garcia have been working with the elementary physical education classes to increase their activity through Hoops for Heart. They have worked on basketball skills and drills to give kids a fun way to increase the amount they exercise.

Spring is a busy time at Murray County Central, reflective of nature, full of preparation, change, and growth. As we get ready for the final quarter of the school year, testing season is in full swing, we’re planning our schedule for next year, and gearing up for spring activities.

MEETING NOTICE

The Murray County Fair Board will meet on Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 p.m. This will be held in the 4-H Building on the fairgrounds.

LITERACY NIGHT AT WEST ELEMENTARY

By Patrick Freeman Murray County Central is excited to host a Literacy Night at MCC West Elementary on Thursday, March 19 at 6:30 PM for families with students in Grades K–3. The evening is designed to be both fun and informative as they continue to support students in becoming strong readers.

MCC SCHOOL BOARD REVIEWS HIRES AND APPROVES JOINT MEETING

By Crystal Reith At the March 9, 2026 MCC school board meeting, new hires, position transitions and open positions were reviewed. High school principal Jacob Scandrett has resigned and will transition to a fifth and sixth grade science teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. Applications for grades 7- 12 principal position will be accepted through March 15. Interviews are projected for the week of March 23.
