GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

Hospice of Murray County will hold a bereavement group for adults at the Hospice of Murray County office in Slayton. It is for 6 sessions, on Tuesdays, and will begin on Tuesday November 12th and will continue through Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, from 4-5:30 pm.

EMPOWERING LIVES: LIVING WELL WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS CLASS COMING TO SLAYTON!

A.C.E. of Southwest Minnesota is excited to announce the launch of a Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop that is designed to empower individuals living with chronic conditions. Starting on Tuesday, November 12th, the classes will take place every Tuesday afternoon at Sunrise Terrace in Slayton, providing valuable tools and support for participants to improve their quality of life.

Richard Lee Patch son of Bert and Alice (Berg) Patch, born on April 13, 1959 in Bemidji MN. He was the baby out of 14! In 1978, he met and later in 1978 married Shirley Thompson in Milbank South Dakota, where they made their home in South Haven later moving to Glencoe.

CORRECTION TO THE MURRAY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING ARTICLE THAT RAN ON MON., OCT. 28TH

The paragraph regarding the ARAP Funding for Wonder World should have read that a motion was made by Welgraven to deny the request for an additional $150,000 in funding to go to the daycare project and when the funds aren’t spent by July 31, 2025 they would move to the capital improvement fund for future capital expenditures. Voting in favor of the motion to deny the request were Welgraven, Thiner and Meier.

MURRAY COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN 2024 OPERATION GREEN LIGHT FOR VETERANS

Murray County – In advance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, Murray County announced plans to illuminate county buildings green from November 4-11 as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide effort uniting counties to support military veterans. The initiative, led by the National Association of Counties (NACo), raises awareness around the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families.
