SPRING BIKE RIDE FROM PIPESTONE TO WOODSTOCK SET FOR MAY 17

PIPESTONE, MN – Cyclists from across the region are invited to participate in the upcoming Pipestone Spring Ride on Saturday, May 17, hosted by the Friends of the Casey Jones Trail Association. The ride will begin at 11:00 a.m.

MCC SCHOOL BOARD WAITS FOR WORD FROM MDE ON 4 DAY WEEK

The Murray County Central School Board met for their regular meeting on Monday, April 14, 2025 with all board members present. After the Pledge of Allegiance, they went on to approve the minutes from the last meeting as well as, the financials for the month. Under Personnel Items, they have hired Melissa Kramer as a Long Term Sub (Certified Staff) and approved Brittney Gorter’s Leave of Absence. No one was present for Public Forum.

WHY IS WIND POWER CURTAILED? MURRAY COUNTY WANTS TO KNOW

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on April 15, 2025. Following the normal opening items of business the meeting was closed for a meeting with the attorneys handling the CD 11/State Highway 30 legal action. An October trial date is anticipated. A Legislative Claim was filed on October 25, 2022 followed by the filing of a Civil Complaint for repayment of costs associated with the damage to CD 11 from the collapse of Highway 30. Upon the reopening of the meeting Dennis Welgraven and Heidi Winter were appointed to the mediation committee.
