By John Stenen Biblical prophecy is one of the most neglected subjects in the Bible. It appears that most pastors shy away from prophecy because they believe it is too hard to understand. Others believe it will scare people and they may quit coming to church. Many seminaries do not teach prophecy. God gave us the very first prophecy in Genesis 3:15. He told Adam and Eve that one day the Messiah would come into this earth, be born of a woman, and that He would crush the head of Satan. Isaiah prophesied that this Messiah would be born of a virgin and He would be God in the flesh. (Isaiah 9:6). The prophet Micah gave a prophecy that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Daniel 9:25,26 tells us when the Anointed One (Jesus) would come and be put to death.
