PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT ON REDUCING STATEWIDE WALLEYE LIMIT FROM SIX TO FOUR

June 30, 2025, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Changes in lake habitat, ecology and conditions coupled with technological advances in fishing gear and methods are prompting the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to seek public input on a possible reduction in the statewide walleye possession limit from six to four fish.

LEGACY AMENDMENT SUPPORTS $433,703 IN SMALL GRANTS TO HISTORY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT MINNESOTA

The Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) announced the newest recipients of 49 Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Small Grants ($10,000 and less), totaling $433,703 in 25 counties. Small grants are awarded quarterly to help nonprofits, educational organizations, government units, and federally recognized Tribes to preserve and share Minnesota history.

MURRAY COUNTY CENTRAL SCHOOL BOARD VOTES TO HOLD SPECIAL ELECTION FOR FUNDING REQUEST

Slayton, MN -- At its July 14 regular school board meeting, the Murray County Central School Board voted unanimously to hold a special election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, asking residents to consider an operating levy increase (revoke and replace) to support the continued outcomes, expectations, and quality of Murray County Central Schools.
