Question: I drive school bus and am a retired firefighter. Recently one of our buses was stopped - 8 ways on, stop signs deployed - when two fire apparatus approached red lights and sirens. The apparatus did not slow and sped past the bus. I’ve always said regardless of what type of emergency vehicle, they must stop and wait for the school bus drive to shut down the 8 ways (indicating safe to proceed).

MEDICAL CENTER SEES RISE IN COVID CASES

The Murray County Medical Center Board met in regular session on September 29. Dr. Snow reviewed the medical appointments for the month which included several telemedia providers along with two Allied Health Professionals: George Hirschboeck, a nurse anesthetist and Michelle Davis, a family nurse practitioner.

DINEHART LUNCHBOX LECTURE TO HOST MINNESOTA AUTHOR PAT LUBECK

The October Lunchbox Lecture will be held Thursday October 14 at noon in the 4-H building on the Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton. This month’s topic will be presented by Minnesota Author, Patricia Lubeck. She will speak on her newest book, “Victims of Foul Play: A True Story of One Man’s Dark Secrets.”
