Because of that, I do not believe in God anymore.” The minister replied, “Have you carefully obeyed 1 John 3:22? There are many things that He has commanded us to do such as forgive everyone who might offend us, and love one another, submit to one another, help the poor, support the gospel, attend Church, be a soul winner, live by faith, etc.” She honestly answered and said, “No, there are many areas of my life where I have been disobedient to God’s Word.” The minister said, “Then God has not failed you, you have failed God.”

The MCC Rebels advanced to the Section 3A semifinals to play the Tracy Milroy Balaton Panthers. The Rebels lost earlier this season to the Panthers in Slayton. MCC was looking to avenge one of their two losses this season but to do that the fourth seeded Rebels would have to go to Tracy to play the top seeded Panthers. The Panthers have had a terrific season with a dominant defense and an offense that can score in a variety of ways led by a big physical frontline. This game would be a defensive battle with both teams having chances to win the game but in the end the top seed would move on.

By Student Reporter, Allie Paulzine The MCC/F Warriors competed at the Section 3A Championships this past Thursday September 27th in Luverne. It was a marvelous day with perfect conditions for running. The Warriors were once again very successful with the girl’s team qualifying for state for the fourth year in a row. The girl’s team fought hard to come home section 3A champs scoring just 58 points. The boys team also had a successful race placing fifth with 170 points. The Warriors also had runners qualifying individually: Evan Bumgardner, Amanda Overgauuw, and Ashley Overgauuw.

MCC Census The Minnesota Department of Education requires school districts to submit an estimate or a census count of zero through four-year-old children that reside in their district. This count directly impacts our funding for early education programs like ECFE and Preschool! Our district also uses the information we gather to send notices about program offerings (preschool and ECFE), community events for young children, preschool screening, and eventually information about registering for kindergarten!

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, November 01, 2022. Auditor Treasurer Heidi Winter updated the Board regarding the upcoming election.

The fall sports season is nearly complete, but one more activity has yet to finish its season; the Murray County Central drama department is ready to present “Beauty and the Beast”! Performances will be Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12 at 7:00pm, and Sunday, November 13 at 2:00pm in the high school auditorium. Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $4 for students, $3 for senior citizens and activity passes will be honored.
