The trade association that serves the promotional advertising industry recently awarded Edgerton based Fey Industries, Inc., as a Greatest Places to Work. The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) serves 15,000 corporate members with two primary constituents; that being the suppliers who manufacturer and print on the products and the distributors who work with the companies and organizations looking to use promotional advertising products.
The Slayton City Council approved seven items of new business at its Tuesday, June 20 meeting but also spent a great deal of time discussing next steps regarding the unfinished business relating to a nuisance ordinance violation imposed on the owner of the Slayton Auto building.

June 7, 2023 40 youth from all over Southwest Minnesota met in either Redwood Falls, Morris or Slayton to participate in the first annual AG Robotics Challenge. Each youth had the opportunity to build and program the robot to perform a series of 6 AG related tasks. Each task required potential different builds of the robot and programming skills to herd cattle, pick apples, load corn or hay bales and remove pests from crops.
