GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I believe that scripture is for today. I believe that He still heals and delivers. Many of my brothers and sisters in Christ do not believe He does that anymore. That’s alright, I still love them. I have been witness to many wonderful, powerful healings over the years, so I cannot be convinced that Jesus does not heal supernaturally today. I wish to see more in the future, and like many, I wonder why it is that many do not receive their healings.

GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark There are two big events this week-end. We hope you can participate in both one way or another. Saturday is the opening of the fishing season for this year. There are many fishing stories told, many about the big fish that got away. We suspect you all have your own fish stories. Sometimes its what you caught instead of a fish. Sometimes it was something else alive other than fish. In this writer’s memory we got to fish in the creek on our land until Father thought we had enough fish for the night and then it was time to quit.

THEOLOGY IN THE TRENCHES

The Geranium on the Windowsill The dried red petals upon the floor held their color and a whole lot more—they held memories. The geranium petals reminded me of mom.

An Open Secret

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” - Galatians 1:10 NIV here are all kinds of open secrets, things we all know to be true but deny or just don’t talk about in polite company. We all wear masks to hide our true selves and pretend that the way we act in public and in the light of day is the same way we act in private and in the dark.
