We had thirty-four Murray County 4-H’ers exhibit livestock in the beef, swine, sheep, goat, rabbit, and poultry shows at the 2024 Minnesota State Fair 4-H Livestock Encampment.
Two thousand eight hundred and twenty-three 4-H youth members throughout the state of Minnesota exhibited livestock at the 2024 Minnesota State Fair this past weekend. Murray County 4-H had the following number of exhibitors represented in their respective species; fourteen beef, nine swine, four poultry, three sheep, two goat, and two rabbit. We also had various volunteers and staff members present during the duration of the livestock encampment.

Murray County 4-H had one senior team and one junior participate at this event. The senior team members consisted of; Daniel Larson, Taylor Larson, Tori Reynolds, and Royalle Siedschlag. Our three junior team members were; Eli Baumgartner, Garret Reith, and Tyler Reith. The contest had one hundred and six participants with ten teams in the junior division and sixteen teams in the senior division. Here are the official results for Murray County: Junior Team: 10th Place Team Tyler Reith – 10th place individual in Swine Eli Baumgartner – 9th place individual in Swine Senior Team: 8th Place Team Taylor Larson – High Individual in Sheep/ Goat, 9th in Beef, 5th in Swine, and 3rd Overall Senior Individual We are incredibly proud of all our 4-H youth members that went down and competed at the Minnesota State Fair 4-H Livestock Encampment!
