MCC REBEL FOOTBALL COMES BACK IN OVERTIME

The MCC football team was coming off a tough loss to the Springfield Tigers. The Rebels had given up the game winning score with just thirteen seconds left in the game. There isn’t a team that wants to lose that way, but you can’t let the memory of one loss turn into two losses. The Rebels wouldn’t let that happen but it wouldn’t be easy.

WARRIORS COMPETE AT ANNUAL TURKEY TROT

By Allie Paulzine, Student Reporter The Warrior Cross Country team competed at the Turkey Trot in Worthington on Thursday, September 14th. The boys and girls teams both placed second behind Sioux Falls Lincoln in both races.

With two and a half weeks under our belt here at MCC, students are settling into the school routine. Teachers are giving some of their first tests and quizzes, and students are busily studying, taking notes and relearning how to stay organized for their classes. It feels good to be getting back in the swing of things and have the hallways full once again.

MCC VOLLEYBALL WINS AT HOME AGAINST HLOF

The MCC Rebel Volleyball team was at home Thursday night, two days after coming from two sets down, to beat the Red Rock Central Falcons. The Rebels played host to their Red Rock Conference rivals, the Coyotes of Heron Lake Okabena Fulda. The Rebels have never beaten the Coyotes. The Rebels did beat the Heron Lake Okabena Wildcats and the Fulda Raiders back in 2018 but Thursday night the Rebels got their first ever win over HLOF.

MCC Volleyball Wins Against MLAC

The MCC Rebel Volleyball team has gotten off to a good start in the Red Rock Conference. After losing their first two games of the year the Rebels have won three straight games with two wins coming in the Red Rock Conference. The Rebels were trying to extend the winning streak to four games with a win Tuesday night in Mountain Lake. The one thing that has been true of every win for the Rebels this season is you never know who will be the best or most impactful player for the team. The Rebels’ balance has helped them through games when one or two players have not played as well as two other players have stepped up.
