Southwest Health and Human Services’ Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of a new e-bike fleet, available for public use to explore the scenic Casey Jones State Trail. The event will take place Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at End-O-Line Park in Currie, Minnesota.

St. Cloud State University has announced the names of more than 1016 students whose academic achievement placed them on the 2025 Spring semester dean’s list. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

As a thirty year cancer survivor, I would like to thank and congratulate the devoted and hardworking members of the Relay for Life for putting on another outstanding Celebration of Life fundraiser. Question: It seems like we have been seeing a fair amount of rain along with flash flood warnings. Can you talk about what motorists should do if they encounter such a thing? Answer: Flooding can happen when streams and rivers overflow, dams or levees break, snow melts rapidly, or during heavy rainfall.
