REBELS CELEBRATE 5-GAME WINNING STREAK WITH VICTORY AT HOME

The MCC Rebel football team was back at home, after a pair of road games, for game 7 of the season. The Rebels had won four straight games coming into Thursday night’s game and were hoping to make it five in a row in hopes of earning a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Rebels played host to the BOLD Warriors who were back in Slayton for the first time since 1996. That year, the Warriors beat the Rebels. This Thursday, Rebels would get the win and continue their winning streak.

WARRIORS RUN AWAY DURING RED ROCK CONFERENCE, DRAGON INVITATIONAL

Murray County Central/Fulda Cross Country had a great day at the Red Rock Conference meet held in Fulda October 13. Boys Varsity claimed the crown by 4 points over MLA-C. Aiden Appel (2nd), Alex Betz (4th), Matthew Stapek (6th), Beckett Stelter (9th) and Micah Janssen (10th) were the top 5 scorers for the Warriors.

More than 400,000 deer hunters are preparing for the firearms deer season, which opens Saturday, Nov. 8. The season offers opportunities to spend time outdoors with friends and family, find adventure and put venison in the freezer.

VOLLEYBALL TEAM WINS LAST REGULAR SEASON

The MCC Rebel Volleyball team was at home Monday night playing their final home game of the regular season. The Rebels entered the game 11-9 on the season and with a win the Rebels would move 1 game over 500 in the Red Rock Conference.
